What is covered?
- Urgent legal assistance;
- Urgent medical assistance;
- Family support in cases where the journalist has been killed or rendered otherwise incapable of supporting the family;
- Relocation, safe houses, evacuation out of the country or region.

- Support is given only in the short-term, and no longer than 6 months, covering immediate needs.
- The Safety Fund cannot be used as humanitarian support if affected by natural disasters.
